Dear Heathrow Woods Resident:
Firstly as you know, there has been a flurry of activity recently at the entry to the community. We are in the process of replacing the existing guardhouse with a brand new structure. We hope to have the new structure completed in a timely fashion. The new guardhouse will be located in the same area, however it will be a bit larger and more functional and will be in keeping with the existing architectural standards of the community. On Monday January 20, 2020 we will be moving the guards and the entry infrastructure to their temporary housing which has been located in the turn-around area.
The process should take approximately 2 hours to complete and slated to be initiated after 10:00am, approximately. During that time, please be aware that the normal flow of traffic may be disrupted and bear with us during that time as we make this transition. We also ask that you bear with us during the construction phase as there are bound to be hiccups and delays from time to time as a result of the work being done. Demolition of the existing structure is slated to begin late next week. The left exit lane directly past the existing guardhouse will be partially coned off to allow the workers space for the demolition and storage of materials. Both entry lanes will operate as per usual during construction.
We know the construction will be an inconvenience for you, but we believe that this structure will not only enhance the entire community with a new jewel at your entry, but enhance your sense of pride at being a Heathrow Woods homeowner. Please join me in giving kudos to your Board of Directors as this is the culmination of several years of work which they wanted to see through to completion. In conjunction with the new guardhouse, the Board is also considering additional changes to the existing signage and fountain areas in the entry. Thank you in advance for your patience and understanding during this time. If you have any questions or concerns, please let me know.
Secondly, we are aware of the ongoing trouble we have had with the gate access phone system and the inconvenience and frustration this has caused you. As this appears to be a phone line issue, the phone company has been notified, and is working to solve the problem. We hope to have the gate access phone system back up and running very soon.
